CBD
Simply put, cannabis oil is the concentrated liquid extract of the plant, Cannabis sativa. Similar to other herbal extracts, the chemicals in cannabis oils vary depending on how the extract is made and what chemicals were in the plant to begin with.
Cannabis plants produce thousands of compounds but the most well recognised belong to a class called cannabinoids. There are several cannabinoids but the two that are most well-known among consumers are THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol).
THC is the primary psychoactive compound in marijuana and it is what people are searching for when they want a product that gives them a “high.” Unlike THC, CBD isn’t known to cause psychoactive effects and is therefore attractive to those who want to avoid the high but who believe there are other benefits of CBD.

Cannabidiol
Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is among the most abundant of all the cannabinoids. It’s found in all varieties of industrial hemp but dominates the makeup of hemp plants.

Cannabinoids
Cannabinoids are active chemical compounds found naturally in the seeds, stalk and flowers of cannabis plants. Phytocannabinoids, a term used to describe cannabinoids derived from plants, are able to interact with our body’s natural endocannabinoid system because their makeup and behaviours mimic endocannabinoids, which are cannabinoids that are synthesized on demand by our own bodies.

THC
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects. It acts much like the cannabinoid chemicals made naturally by the body.

Full Spectrum
Full Spectrum generally refers to CBD oil products that not only contain CBD but also contain terpenes and other cannabinoids, even some THC. With Full Spectrum CBD oil products, you have the advantage of something called the “Entourage Effect”.

Entourage Effect
Evidence suggests that medical substances may be more effective in their whole and natural state.
This phenomenon, called the entourage effect, results when the many components within the hemp plant interact with the human body to produce a stronger influence than any one of those components alone – it’s a synergistic effect.
To understand the concept, think of it in terms of human interactions. We all have passions and abilities that can carry us to a certain point in life. Sometimes, we’ll meet another person who has different passions and abilities. When partnerships are formed between two people, and abilities are combined, achievements can be made that were otherwise unimaginable.

Sativa
Cannabis sativa is classed as hemp and is an annual herbaceous flowering plant indigenous to eastern Asia. It has been cultivated throughout recorded history, used as a source of industrial fibre, seed oil, food, recreation, religious and spiritual moods and medicine.

Supercritical C02 Extraction
The supercritical CO2 extraction process creates phase changes in carbon dioxide utilizing temperature and pressure. CO2 is known as a “tunable solvent” making it extremely versatile for creating a multitude of end products by controlling temperature and pressure. This enables collection of light essential oils separately from other desirable constituents and heavier lipids. Supercritical CO2 fluid extraction (SCFE) methodology delivers a clean, unaltered, consistent-yet-flexible product.
