I started using CBD products in 2018. It was very different then, as it wasn’t as easy to get a decent CBD product as it is today. CBD was really popular in America at the time, and I remember seeing it talked about in a couple of female forums I was on, but it was all overseas.
Fast forward to now and CBD products can be brought on the high street and of course from a specialised CBD online shop like hapihemp!
I take CBD daily as part of my health routine, I also take other supplements such as Vitamin D, Vitamin C and magnesium.
The reason I take CBD for a variety of reasons, but I suppose the main one is I feel it keeps me balanced. When I use the term balanced, I mean it keeps my mind and body in balance. Below are three key areas where I believe CBD helps me.
CBD for sleep – Ever since I was a child I have never been an easy sleeper, it’s always taken me quite a while to get to sleep and can read for hours sometimes. Many of our customers turn to CBD to help with sleep, in fact, this is one of the reasons that our CBD calming tea is so popular. Not only does it have CBD, but it also boasts some effective herbs too. There are Valerian, Chamomile, Rosehip, and Hawthorne berries… it really is a cup of calm!
Since taking CBD my sleep pattern has most definitely improved. These days I am in bed by 10 and normally only manage a few pages of my book each night!
We also have a CBD sleep kit that contains everything you need for a good night’s sleep every night!
CBD for Discomfort – CBD has certainly been the most effective pain relief for my back and calves. I can struggle with back pain due to having a very weak back. I was born with something called “Spina Bifida Occulta” which isn’t very well known. It means I have a small gap in my spine, but no opening or sac on my back. It’s totally hidden and my back looks exactly as it should do, it just means that I can occasionally suffer from discomfort. Also, any activities such as cycling uphill, or sit-ups are always harder for me. I also have tight calves which is a knock-on effect from my back.
Along with our CBD patches which I apply daily, I also rub some of our CBD body oil all over my back, when I am struggling. Not only does it sink in and hit the spot, but it’s also very soothing as contains some lovely warming essential oils, which are particularly lovely on my calves.
I also love our CBD roller; this is our strongest topical CBD product and is ideal for smaller areas. As a keen paddleboarder, I take this every time I go out on the board and use it on my feet and knees.
The dreaded hormones!
CBD for hormones – There has been quite a lot in the press recently on how CBD can help with hormonal health and menopause. We were extremely proud to have our cold-pressed CBD oil featured in Woman & Home magazine. W & H is one of the biggest women’s mags in the UK.
When I mentioned balance earlier, I think it’s the perfect word for how our hormones can affect us and CBD has helped this area tremendously.
Many people can’t get their heads around how CBD can help with so many areas. Once you understand how our endocannabinoid system works, it all makes sense!
