What is National CBD Day?

National CBD Day happens every year on the 8th of August, and it is a day dedicated to CBD. It is a day for those who have been directly or indirectly impacted by CBD to show their appreciation for this special plant.

This will be done by CBD manufacturers and retailers by raising awareness of the CBD products available and their various applications; some will also be offering their loyal customers exclusive discounts. You can show your appreciation by informing someone, either close to you or online, about how CBD has impacted you and telling them your story.

National CBD Day originated in North America. CBD was available in North America before Europe, so its popularity started there. However, as CBD expand into the rest of the world and increased in popularity, National CBD Day has come with it.

What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is a chemical compound from the cannabis Savita plant, also known as hemp. Even though it’s from the cannabis plant, CBD is non-psychotropic. This means that you cannot get high from it, even in high doses. This plant has been known throughout history to have a variety of health benefits and has been used all over the world. CBD comes in many forms, including CBD oils, CBD gummies, CBD balms, CBD creams, CBD tea and CBD roller.

Is CBD Legal in the UK?

This question gets asked a lot by people that are not aware of CBD or are hearing about CBD for the first time. The simple answer is YES. The law requires that CBD products contain a maximum of 0.2% of THC. Just so you know, THC is the compound within the cannabis Savita plant that will get you high. However, with just a low concentration, it will not get you high.

Is CBD Safe?

CBD is safe to buy from reputable, respected and established distributors. However, buying CBD from the Facebook marketplace or eBay will put you at a higher risk to buy unsafe CBD. This is because the CBD industry is only just getting harsher regulations and restrictions. So, the people selling on these sites most likely made the CBD oil in their kitchen.

When buying CBD always look for lab reports. The reputable, respected and established distributors will have lab reports on their products available. These lab reports will either be on their website or accessible if you ask for them. These lab reports are done by certified professionals and show exactly what is in a product.

What dosage of CBD should you take?

If you are new to CBD, it is recommended that you start at a 5% CBD oil.

Everybody is different so they react differently to CBD. Some people will feel the effects straight and for others, it might take time.

As a guideline, the initial dosage of 5% Full Spectrum CBD oils and THC-Free CBD oils are 2 to 6 drops throughout the day and for 15% it’s 2 to 3 drops daily.

The 5% oils contain 2.5mg of CBD per drop and the 15% contain 7.5mg of CBD per drop.

The Food Standards Agency recommends that a healthy adult take no more than 70mg of CBD daily.

When looking at CBD gummies that would mean a maximum of 7, 10mg gummies or 2, 25mg gummies. However, you can use multiple different CBD products as long as you are within the limit.
