Can CBD help with sleep?
A personal experience trying CBD for the first for sleep.
I have struggled with sleep for as long as I can remember. I have never been able to get a full 8 hours sleep without either waking up or sweating. So, at 18 and starting a new job, I decided the time was right to sort it out.
My mum had tried me with melatonin when I was younger which didn’t work, I also tried Day and Night nurse which again was unsuccessful.
Most days I would feel really tired, dizzy, have bad headaches, and often not be very present within the situation I was in because I was so tired. One of my close friends Jack recommended that I look into CBD as his sister took it to help with her sleep and anxiety.
So, I started to do my research and found there were so many different brands, strengths, flavours, so many ways of taking it, it was mind blowing!
I asked my friend if there was anything he would recommend, he came back to me and said try the hapi hemp CBD Tranquil Tea.
I am not a tea drinker, however, looking at the reviews on the hapi hemp website I thought it was worth a shot! The taste wasn’t too bad, it has a pleasant citrus taste to it. It’s a loose tea so I use a tea infuser with it.
After a few days, I started to notice the difference, I had a cup about 6 pm each evening and by 11 pm I certainly felt ready to sleep, a big improvement on 2 am!
The tea is a mixture of Hibiscus, Chamomile, Rose hip, Valerian, Lemon balm and Hawthorn berries. I also brought myself a tea infuser to go with it and whenever I run out, I buy myself a tea refill as it saves me money!
As a teen, I feel like I need to have more energy, and I definitely do now! If you told me a year ago that I would be sleeping 8 hours a night or that I could sleep without waking up at least once. I would have probably laughed at you because it seemed impossible but CBD and hapi hemp really have made a big difference.
I have since tried their CBD Patches which last for 24 hours. I have been applying on my right knee every day as I have had a really aggravating pain there for some time now and it has eased that up a treat. I have got back into going on daily runs again around my local park. The CBD Patches are so simple and really get to work within around 10 – 15 mins for me, sometimes a little more.
They start by targeting the area you apply it to, but then spreads around your body, so for example you had a pain in both your shoulder and back it would treat both but would start wherever you applied it. I started on a 6 pack as I didn’t want to spend money on something I wasn’t sure about. Now I buy the 30 pack as they are better valued.
I wanted to share this with you, as I don’t think many men my age talk about sleep or CBD come to that! But I am so glad I have found it as it really made a big difference to how I feel.
