Your CBD questions answered
Over the past couple of years, CBD products have exploded in popularity and access with a range of products across the spectrum from food to make-up.
Whilst the number of people using CBD has grown, many consumers remain wary of the product, unclear as to what it is, how it works, and whether it is safe.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant., it’s not addictive, toxic or psychoactive and when used properly and with the right product and quality, it can enhance your health and wellness especially when it comes to managing the stresses of daily life.
Here is everything you need to know about the safety and effectiveness of CBD.
Is CBD legal in the UK?
In one word yes! This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions about CBD oil. The law requires that CBD products should only contain 0.2% THC or less.
Additionally, current regulation requires that with effect from 31st March 2021, all CBD food supplements should have submitted a novel food license application to the FSA (Food Standards Agency) for the product to continue being sold.
Always purchase CBD from a reputable CBD company that has their lab reports transparent online.
hapihemp has visible full lab reports for each of their CBD products. So, you can rest assured that all our products meet these requirements.
What is the difference between THC free and Full spectrum CBD?
While both have an array of potential benefits, THC Free and Full Spectrum CBD oil have a slightly different composition. As a result, you may prefer one over the other.
Both are powerful hemp extracts but here is the key difference:
Full Spectrum CBD oil allows you to experience the full entourage effect and contains trace amounts of THC (less than 0.2%) giving you the full benefit of the plant.
THC Free CBD oil allows you to experience the full entourage effect but contains zero THC. This is ideal for those who may have experienced THC sensitivity or who must participate in work-related drug tests. Many Hapi Hemp customers choose THC free oil as they work in the armed forces, police, or teaching.
What is best – CBD oil, capsules, OR PATCHES?
This is down to personal preference and what works best for you. For many years the oil drops have been the only option available, but since CBD has become mainstream there are now some really effective alternatives.
One of the advantages of using CBD oil oral drops is their quick absorption into the body. Taking drops under the tongue (sublingually) can aid in faster delivery of cannabinoids.
On the downside, many people do not like the taste of CBD oil, however, you now have the option of using one that has natural flavouring such as peppermint – hapihemp CBD oil comes in peppermint as well as natural. All of their oils are blended with organic MCT oil which is clear in coloured and mild tasting.
Another area that people can struggle with is the drops and watching how many drops they put under their tongue, this is particularly harder for older people and children, also remembering to take twice a day. Others also suffer from gag reflex which can make taking an oil under the tongue difficult.
Capsules are popular as they are so easy to take and have no taste, they are pre-measured, so you simply pop them in your mouth and swallow!
You can also buy CBD capsules that are blended with other beneficial oils. hapi hemps CBD+ Capsules also contain – Ginger, Turmeric, and Black pepper, which all have splendid benefits! The capsules are in a totally natural case and are vegan friendly. If you take other supplements like Turmeric etc then the capsules are the ones for you.
Another benefit of capsules is they travel easily, once you start your journey with CBD you will not want to be without it!
The most recent addition and alternative to CBD oil drops.
CBD patches are so easy to use, especially if you have the patches that give a slow release of CBD throughout the day.
Another great benefit is you can apply the patch to wherever it’s needed the most. For example, if you are suffering from your knee then put the patch on to your knee, the CBD travels throughout your body, however wherever you place it will target that area first.
More and more people are turning to patches now due to their effectiveness and simplicity.
The hapi patch contains 20mg of CBD and is 24-hour slow release.
Do CBD topicals work?
In one word yes…well we think so!
The largest organ of our body is our skin. It is a living organism; it breathes and does an excellent job of protecting against foreign bodies and infections. However, just as eating the right food satisfies our digestive system, the right creams, oils, or lotions can work wonders.
CBD topicals are CBD that can be absorbed through the skin for localised relief.
It’s about finding the right product for you that suits you and your lifestyle.
Essential oils can also be blended with CBD, as we all know essential oils have been effective for health & wellness for hundreds of years, so imagine the power when mixed with CBD!
hapihemp are particularly proud of their topical CBD range and have spent over a year working on blending different essential oils with CBD to create some wonderful holistic products.

Their CBD+ massage oil is truly decadent and due to its wonderful ingredients, it has a warming feel to it, ideal to rub in larger areas such as the back, arms, and legs to help your body rejuvenate.
Can CBD be mixed with food?
It can but it’s not just the case of dropping a few oral drops into your coffee!
There are some limitations when it comes to cooking with CBD, as CBD does not react well to extreme temperatures.
Some recent research has shown that mixing some CBD supplements with high-fat foods can increase the rate of absorption by up to 4 times.
hapihemp has just launched a brand-new innovative product called CBD Superfood mix.
It is a blend of some powerful superfoods including cinnamon, turmeric, chicory, reishi mushroom & ashwagandha.
Perfect to mix with plant-based milk and drank warm or cold, this is a sure one to give you super-boost midday!!
Can CBD Help Unhapi Skin?
For years people have turned to natural products to help with skin.
CBD is well known for its healthy, calming properties which is why many people use it on their skin.
There are numerous ways to get CBD oil into your body. All methods will result in this compound interacting with receptors in your body to give you a result. However, when it comes to skin complaints, topicals are the preferred choice, and for good reason.
There is a huge range of creams, balms, and salves available containing different strengths of CBD. CBD oil is highly permeable and can enter the skin easily where it accumulates in the sebaceous gland. Topicals containing hemp seed oil should be the number one choice for people looking to treat unhapi skin as hemp seed oil also contains essential amino acids and nourishing vitamins. The hapi face oil is blended with CBD, raw hemp seed oil, as well as essential oils – lemon, grapefruit, and peppermint. All three of these essential oils are hugely beneficial to the skin.
Hemp seed oil is perfect for most skin types as it’s one of the few oils that can moisturise without clogging your pores. It can even help to balance out oily skin, hydrating it, and regulating the skin’s oil production.
One of the omega-6 fatty acids that hemp oil contains is gamma-linolenic acid which can help calm your skin whilst encouraging skin growth and new cell generation. All these benefits while keeping the skin nourished and moisturised!
