A Beginners Guide to CBD

A Beginner’s Guide to CBD

The CBD market has seen an explosive growth in the last couple of years, and that doesn’t look set to stop any time soon.

There are millions of people in the UK taking CBD supplements and that is increasing daily.

If you’re interested in trying CBD oil for the first time, you probably have a lot of questions on how to use CBD oil?  How to take CBD oil? How much CBD oil should I take?

hapihemp have a great FAQ section on their website which answers many questions that you may have.

While CBD is growing in popularity, there is still a lot of confusion, and it may be overwhelming to someone who has never tried it before.

In this blog we have put together this easy-to-follow CBD guide to help you understand CBD and the benefits of CBD.

What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the cannabis Sativa plant, which is also known as cannabis or hemp and has been known throughout history to have a wealth of proposed health benefits. First discovered in 1940, it is one of over 100 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants and accounts for up to 40% of the plant’s extract.

The cannabis plant is made up of two main players: CBD and THC. CBD is the non-psychoactive portion of the plant, so what that means is you won’t have any effects like euphoria. CBD is not psychoactive and won’t make you ‘high’.

CBD is a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils and edibles.

How Does CBD work?

Our body has an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) that translates signals from cannabinoids through thousands of receptors in our brain, central nervous system, and immune system. The ECS is responsible for regulating many our body functions. The ECS produces cannabinoids of its own, which are called endocannabinoids.

When cannabinoids from plants (phytocannabinoids) enter the body, they interact with our ECS receptors in the same way our internal cannabinoids do. These phytocannabinoids activate responses and provide a host of benefits for our mind, body, and soul.

There are three main types of CBD oils extracted from the hemp plant.  These include Full Spectrum CBD, THC CBD, and CBD Isolate.

Full Spectrum CBD

Refers to the whole plant hemp extract, including up to 0.2% of THC.

THC Free CBD oil

Starts as full spectrum CBD that goes through an additional process to remove the trace amounts of THC. It offers the “entourage effect” associated with full-spectrum CBD, without any chances of THC being ingested into the body.

CBD Isolate

Contains pure CBD only, and none of the other cannabinoids, terpenes or other natural compounds found in the hemp plant.

How to Take CBD

With so many people in the UK turning to CBD, there are many different formats for taking CBD – such as tinctures, capsules, topicals, vapes, and edibles. There is no best way to take CBD oil, however there are some pros and cons to each and at the end of the day it’s down to your personal preference, lifestyle, what works best for and your personal goals.

Here are the most common ways to take CBD and the pros and cons of each

 CBD oral drops/Tinctures

Pros:

  • Fast absorption and high bioavailability taking sublingual CBD as the capillaries under the tongue lead directly to the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system
  • Versatility (can be consumed sublingually or added to food and beverages)
  • Flexible dosing (fill the dropper to the desired dose and can also be split into multiple doses throughout the day)

Cons:

  • Some people don’t like the ‘hempy’ taste.
  • Many people feel that the process of holding the oil under the tongue for 60-90 seconds is inconvenient and unpleasant.

CBD Capsules

Pros:

  • For some – the most convenient way to consume CBD
  • Tasteless and odourless
  • Exact dosage – no measuring
  • Taking a CBD capsule doesn’t feel different or intimidating if you’re used to taking vitamins, supplements or other medications
  • Additional ingredients can be included in a capsule. Our hapihemp capsules also include Turmeric, Ginger and Black pepper.

Cons:

  • Effects may take 1-2 hours to work as the CBD needs to go through the digestive system first
  • Ingesting CBD may be less effective for some people as the CBD must pass through the liver.

Topical CBD

Pros:

  • Targeted relief for anywhere on your body.
  • Useful for skin repair and skin conditions.
  • Simple to use – CBD topical products are popular for a reason! They can be used as often as you like and are found to be very effective.
  • Can be formulated and combined with other essential oils and beneficial ingredients which can then create a really powerful topical CBD product.

Cons:

  • Can be messy before fully absorbing into the skin.

Vaping / Smoking

Pros:

  • Effects can be felt almost immediately, usually within minutes
  • Easy to carry around and use on the go

Cons:

  • Effects will last a shorter time vs ingesting CBD orally
  • Additional vaping apparatus is required
  • Stigma around vaping/smoking.
  • Not enough research on the health benefits connected to vaping.

CBD drinks and edibles

Our hapi gummies are completely natural and are vegan friendly.

Pros:

  • Fun and convenient way to consume CBD.
  • Can be a tasty treat
  • Everyone likes to eat and drink.
  • A great intro to CBD.
  • A super way to compliment your current CBD supplements.
  • CBD drinks can be very soothing – our CBD tea has been created for this purpose!

Cons:

  • Typically contains low doses of CBD vs other methods
  • Some edibles include artificial ingredients and sweeteners
  • Not all edibles adhere to dietary restrictions such as coeliacs or vegans.

How Much CBD Oil Should I Take?

Finding the ideal dose is an individual process as each person is different, as well as the method of ingestion, so it may take a bit of trial and error to find the right dose of CBD for you.

Several factors influence each person’s effective dose of CBD including weight, diet, metabolism, sleep patterns, stress levels and genetics.  Also, some individuals are just more sensitive to CBD than others.

We always advise to start with a low dose and see how you react.  You can slowly increase the dose over the next few days to find the most effective dose for you and your goals.

Most people stick to somewhere in the 10-80mg of CBD per day, with higher doses for relaxation, therapeutic effects and “flare ups”.

Where Can I Buy CBD?

There are many places to buy CBD now, you will find an array of CBD products in all the major high street stores now.

We always recommend that you do your research first – CBD is an investment for YOU. We do not recommend you buy solely on price from a random shop! You get what you pay and with CBD you need to be able to see transparent lab reports and reviews.  You cannot go far wrong with purchasing from a CBD specialist online store and of course it’s convenient as it’s posted directly to you!

What are CBD Patches

CBD Patches – Your Questions Answered

CBD Patches – Your Questions Answered

The CBD market is booming right now and although it’s still a young market there have been an array of new products being launched, some good, some not so good!

Many CBD gimmicks are coming out, but with the cost of CBD not being cheap, the key is finding the right CBD product that works for you; one which not only helps you, but is also cost-effective.

At hapihemp, we only source, and sell, safe premium CBD oil and only CBD products that we genuinely believe will help with your health and well-being.

There are many products we do not sell, for example, we do not sell CBD wine or CBD vapes as personally we do not believe them to be as effective as other products, we also believe that vaping isn’t a particularly healthy option. This of course is our personal opinion, and this comes from our personal health stories, in particular co-founder Sam day.

One CBD product that has got us excited is our hapi patch! CBD patches are a relatively new concept & one that we genuinely believe in. CBD patches are a fantastic new way of delivering CBD directly into your bloodstream through the transdermal route.

Here we answer some frequently asked questions on our CBD patches.

What are CBD patches?

CBD patches are transdermal patches containing cannabidiol (CBD). They slowly release CBD into the bloodstream through our largest organ…your skin. Some people may prefer this using CBD topically and the patches certainly bring fast relief. CBD patches may be a more suitable option for certain applications, such as targeting certain areas.

CBD Patches with leaves in background

How do CBD patches work?

The transdermal method delivers the CBD quickly to the area around the patch, then from there it works its way into your bloodstream. When people take CBD orally — via an oil or an edible the compound must first pass through the digestive system. The body may then use it & break it down.

They work in a similar way to hormone or nicotine patches, delivering CBD directly into the bloodstream. This gives you a slow steady release of premium CBD throughout your body.

Once you understand how our Endocannabinoid System works (And yes, we all have one!) it all starts to make sense of how CBD interacts with our body. You can read more on our Endocannabinoid system here.

How long can you keep a CBD patch on?

Our CBD patches are 24-hour slow-release, they contain 20mg of CBD per patch. We chose 24 hours so it’s a simple daily patch so much easier to remember than a 12–18-hour patch! However, many of our customers keep the hapi patch on for 48 hours so they are even more cost-effective! They are showerproof, however, don’t scrub at them!

We also recommend that you move around regularly where you place your CBD patch, to prevent any skin irritation.

What do CBD Patches help with?

The million-dollar question! Without sounding like it’s a superhero…it does help so many of our customers who use them for a variety of reasons. We have had customers say it made a huge difference to their sleep, especially if they are also using it alongside our CBD Tranquil tea or our hapi sleep kit. Many customers swear by them, we have one lady who regularly uses it for her neck and says it’s the only thing that works!

One of the reasons we named our CBD patch the hapi patch was because we believe that it will bring a little bit of hapiness to whoever uses them. We have had comments on our social media like – ‘I don’t know what it is, but your patches help me feel more balanced’.

We talk a lot about Cannabinoids in the world of CBD and CBD working with our Endocannabinoid system for good reason. If you are cannabinoid deficient you will certainly notice more positive effects from using our CBD patches. Common cannabinoid deficiency problems are when your body is out of sync.

One of the biggest benefits of using a CBD patch is being able to target where you want to place the patch.

The beauty of the CBD patch is it’s flexible & adaptable and fits in with your needs & your lifestyle.

Women holding CBD Patches

Do CBD patches work?

Yes! Hopefully by the time you have read this you are convinced! All of our products are effective & safe, we are passionate and believe in them all. But sometimes something comes along that gets us a little more excited & the hapi patch is one of those!

They are easy to travel with as they come in a flat pack pouch, they could slip in your pocket if you wanted. There is no remembering to take your CBD or any measuring, plus there is absolutely no wastage.

They can be used alongside our other CBD products, if you are serious about improving your health & wellness then use them with our CBD Superfood powder. If it’s sleep you are struggling with, then incorporate with our CBD Tranquil Tea. Our CBD patches can also be used in combination with our CBD massage oil or CBD roller, improving your daily routine.

CBD massage Oil

Benefits of using a CBD body oil

Benefits of using a CBD body oil

As you are probably aware by now, CBD has a wealth of health and wellness benefits that come in all different forms. We talk a lot about the benefits of taking CBD oral drops but what about the benefits of a topical CBD treatment?

Our skin is the largest organ in our body.  It is responsible for protecting us from the outside world – with all its germs, toxins, and other ‘stuff’! We take our skin for granted until there is a problem and then all too often, we wade through lots of advised topical products that promise a cure.

We are in the midst of a skincare revolution, where people are turning away from synthetic products that are filled with harsh chemicals, fragrances, and preservatives. It’s all about going back to grassroots and opting for natural, simple, and gentle.

This is why, CBD has grown dramatically within the topical skincare market – it’s natural, safe, and effective.

Because of the close relationship between CBD and our endocannabinoid system, many experts believe that CBD is the new powerhouse for our skin. Let’s not forget that CBD and essential oils have been around for thousands of years, and people have always recognised the beneficial properties of using essential oils for health & wellness. So, imagine the power of CBD and essential oils once they have been blended?

Many people use topical CBD products like body oils, balms, creams, and roll-ons on their muscles and joints with really good results.

Using a CBD massage oil is one of the easiest ways to take advantage of the CBD benefits and can be used to target specific areas of the body that require particular attention.

It is a great addition to taking hapihemps CBD oil drops daily, or along with the hapi CBD patch. Or if you prefer, you can use the massage oil on its own.  If you really wanted to step things up a gear, you could incorporate our CBD capsules into your daily routine. These are also full of turmeric, black pepper, and ginger so the two products in tandem will be a real super boost!

CBD massages have been growing in popularity in some large well-known spas and health centres and many sports therapists are starting to introduce them as a specialist treatment. However, you can now benefit from CBD massage oil in the comfort of your own home.

How can a CBD massage oil help you?

We know that our body produces endocannabinoids after physical exercise. That feeling of euphoria that you sometimes feel after a good work workout is the release of endocannabinoids and is sometimes referred to as the “bliss molecule”

One way to keep your endocannabinoid system topped up is to use a CBD topical product. The skin is our largest organ and just like taking CBD internally, applying topical CBD helps control the balance of your body.

Cannabinoids can supplement the endocannabinoids that are created in the skin and mimic their action. Once the CBD interacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the skin, it starts working its magic!

Our hapi blend!

The hapihemp potent CBD body oil is perfect for deep tissue work, recovery, and relaxation. It can be used all over the body and is ideal for larger areas such as legs, back, tummy, and arms.

We researched for months on which essential oils we wanted to include, so we could create something versatile, effective, and made a difference. We also wanted it to have a soothing and warming feel to it…hence the clove and black pepper!

The essential oils we chose are.

Lavender

A well-known and popular relaxant.

Avocado oil

Using avocado oil helps this massage oil penetrate deeper into the skin at an accelerated rate.

Clove oil

Clove is well known beneficial oil and brings warming feelings to your skin.

Black Pepper oil

Black Pepper Oil is a powerful and stimulating oil.

Clary Sage oil

This can help in eliminating or preventing the spread of harmful bacteria, facilitates healing.

All of these bring their own individual benefits to the CBD massage oil.

The next stop was getting a sample made so we could try it ourselves.  We need to sample everything first as we need to believe and trust in all our CBD products.  It was sufficient to say we were very ‘hapi’ with the result!

Many of our customers massage the oil over their legs at bedtime and say it helps them relax, whilst others apply pre-or post-workout. The clove oil brings a lovely warming sensation when you massage it in, so it is the perfect treatment for warming up or winding down.

Whatever your reason for wanting to include CBD, do not rule out quality CBD topical products as you may be pleasantly surprised with the results!

5 tips for buying safe CBD online in the UK

5 tips for buying safe CBD online in the UK

Given all the purported benefits of CBD, you might think it’s a great thing that you can now buy CBD products just about anywhere. However, you need to take great care of where you buy CBD from.

The Home Office may have legalised the sale of CBD Oil in recent years, but there has been very little quality control in the industry. However, that is all about to change with the introduction of the CBD Novel food act.

CBD is regarded as a novel food, which means that CBD now must pass through intense authorisation processes for medical or food supplements before it is allowed to be sold on the market. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has given all CBD companies until 31 March 2021 to have a validated Novel Foods Application. After this date, only CBD brands that have been accepted will be allowed to continue operating.

Some CBD products available at some retailers can be of dubious quality and still there are many that do not share transparent lab reports. Some of the products have almost no Cannabinoids in them, so they won’t work and are often just cheap hemp oil. This information is especially important as there can be a substantial difference between high quality and low quality.

CBD isn’t cheap, so you must make sure you are getting a good value when purchasing any CBD product.

There are a lot of good products out there, you just need to do your basic research and read up on buying CBD online.

5 tips for buying safe CBD online in the UK

1. Lab Reports

Check there are full lab reports online with each CBD product.

https://hapihemp.co.uk/blog/2020/10/06/how-to-buy-good-quality-cbd-online-in-the-uk/

2. Does the website offer support online?

Is there an option to chat? Is there a contact number and address? Are there transparent social media platforms? Some of this may seem basic but believe it or not there are some people making CBD tinctures from their kitchen! It is illegal to not have an address or contact number on a website selling CBD. You also need to make sure you can speak to a real person in case you have any questions. NEVER EVER buy CBD off a Facebook group! Many reputable CBD websites have a section where they answer the most frequently asked CBD questions. https:/hapihemp.co.uk/blog/2020/10/22/your-cbd-questions-answered/

3. Reviews

Reviews – are there any reviews you can read online? Take a look at the products you are interested in and see if there are reviews from customers that have brought them.

4. Is the company a member of a professional trades association?

This is very important, as currently, the CBD market is unregulated. They are also not allowed to make crazy medical claims – however many do! Cannabis Professionals (CannaPro) is the trade association for the UK’s cannabis, CBD and hemp businesses. Check the CBD company you are looking at is a member. https://cannapro-uk.org/

5. Who are the people behind the business?

Are they based in the UK? Many reputable companies have an about us section, so you can find out a bit more and it will give you a bit more trust and peace of mind. https://hapihemp.co.uk/hapihemp-team/

CBD Tea Pouches

Benefits of CBD Tea…

Benefits of CBD Tea…

The benefits are beyond tealeaf!

Tea already has so much going for it; all those health benefits and the great taste… and CBD is trusted for its vast array of therapeutic benefits. So, with an increased interest in combining CBD with everyday products, we discuss the possible benefits of CBD tea, and why this magical merger of ingredients is a great replacement for your usual cuppa.

What is CBD tea?

CBD tea, as the name implies, is a tea that contains an active dose of cannabidiol extract. CBD is one of the numerous chemicals extracted from the plant and has been identified to possess a variety of potential benefits. It is made by infusing the full-spectrum oil extracted from the cannabis plant into the tea to provide some excellent benefits.

CBD tea is commonly available in the form of loose leaf, where the CBD has already been extracted and infused with the tea leaves. Many CBD teas are blended with other beneficial and calming herbs such as chamomile and valerian.

What are the benefits of CBD tea?

It is pertinent to note that the main aim behind infusing tea with CBD is to bring a touch of CBD’s wellness properties into every cup. CBD possesses several potential therapeutic benefits, which can improve health and wellness. CBD is able to achieve this by interacting with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS).

The ECS utilizes different receptors, regulatory enzymes, and specialized components such as cannabinoids, to control, influence, and regulate various bodily processes.

Here are some of the benefits of taking CBD tea

A feeling of wellbeing and calm

Drinking a tea with calming herbs such as chamomile is wonderful for relaxation, and even more greatly enhanced after combining with CBD. This creates a simple way to administer CBD into the bloodstream, interacting with serotonin and GABA, the neurotransmitters receptors that control the way we relax or focus, to promote a sense of wellbeing.

CBD also has a great potential for eliciting a calming effect on the brain, triggering the release of feel-good hormones via interaction with the cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2).

Digestive health

The bulk of CBD activity centres on the interaction between CBD and the cannabinoid receptors, which are concentrated in the central nervous system and peripheral organs (CB1 receptors), and the immune system (CB2 receptors). These receptors are responsible for controlling cognitive activities like hunger, pain-sensation, internal balance, and appetite.

Promoting internal balance

The accumulation of free radicals can be damaging to the body, hence the need for powerful ‘free-radical scavengers’ capable of neutralizing their effects. CBD possesses an excellent ‘free-radical scavenger’ property that may play significant roles in restoring internal balance. Taking a cup of CBD may serve to keep your system within physiologically balanced levels.

Keep calm and carry on!

Imagine taking a cup of tea that helps keep you calm – that’s the power of CBD. People who find it hard to relax, may find that CBD tea helps them to carry on with their daily activities.

A great night’s sleep

The ability to sleep well in a busy lifestyle can be a challenge. The use of CBD tea serves an important purpose in helping people who find it hard to sleep or remain asleep.

How do I use CBD tea?

The easiest and most common way of using CBD tea is by purchasing loose leaf teas already infused with CBD. You simply brew and enjoy your tea as you would any other tea.

How much should I take?

CBD tea comes in different strengths and concentrations depending on the manufacturer. Our body can handle as high as 1500mg of CBD per day without breaking down or producing any adverse side effects.

Sit back, unwind, and enjoy one of the best CBD infused teas with hapihemp.

5 tips to maximise CBD for wellness and health

5 tips to maximise CBD for wellness and health

Thanks to research and studies, many people have experienced the benefits of CBD. As quality CBD products are often fairly expensive, it is important to know how to make the most of the effects.

1 – Find which product works for you

How CBD is absorbed depends on the route of administration, or how it’s consumed. Whether CBD oil is ingested, situated under the tongue, inhaled, or applied topically, plays an important role in the uptake, distribution, and elimination of the compound. It can therefore influence how effective cannabinoid treatments will be. If your target is located anywhere close to your skin or a mucous membrane, you could first try a topical product. This delivers the highest concentration of CBD exactly where you want it. Otherwise, CBD needs to travel through your bloodstream to reach its target. Oral products are best for this purpose.

Types of CBD products include:

  • CBD oil drops – These are the most popular because of easy administration and quick effects. By taking the drops under the tongue it can reach your bloodstream faster than other methods. hapihempoffers a full spectrum and a THC free CBD oil in two different strengths and two flavours.
  • Capsules – If you really cannot bear the taste of CBD oil then CBD capsules are a great option for you. Some capsules do not only contain CBD but also other essential vitamins that make the body stronger, healthy, and nourished. hapihemp’s capsules not only contain CBD, but also the powerful turmeric, ginger, and black pepper.
  • Edibles and drinks – Just like the capsules, these are a much better alternative if you want something to snack on ,and at the same time, absorb its benefits. Edibles and drinks are also a great supplement to your oral cbd oil drops. Edibles can be in the form of chocolates, sweets, brownies, or gummies. hapihemp has a lovely calming CBD tea called Tranquil tea which also contains other beneficial herbs such as Chamomile, valerian, rosehip, and hawthorn berries.
  • Topical CBD – a great way to soothe and heal, a real helping hand for your body and skin. Topical CBD can come in a body oil, balm, roller, or lotion. Even better if you can find potions that include essential oils.

Your body, genes, age, and lifestyle will influence how CBD will react with you, and which type of product suits you best. Because your body is unlike anyone else’s, you’ll also need to experiment a bit before finding which dose is right for you.

2 – Don’t skip the instructions

Reading instructions on correct consumption, or application, of CBD can be crucial.

For example, tinctures and oils need to stay below the tongue for about 90 seconds before swallowing, allowing the mucus membranes in the mouth to absorb the compounds. This sublingual method allows CBD to completely bypass going through your body, so the compounds can avoid being broken down by enzymes and reach the bloodstream more quickly. So simply squirting a few drops on your mouth and swallowing the product will not be as effective.

When CBD is applied topically, or directly to the skin, it can be absorbed through the skin’s surface to interact with nearby cannabinoid receptors. The skin has a particularly low absorption rate for cannabinoids, so application of CBD balms, salves, and lotions needs to be sufficient to overcome this barrier.

3 – Look for full-spectrum products

Products labelled ‘full-spectrum’ contain all the cannabinoids that are found in the cannabis plant in nature, rather than just CBD (Cannabidiol). There are hundreds of active compounds in cannabis — and these cannabinoids work best synergistically; the teamwork of its many active compounds creates the ‘entourage effect,’ thus helping to maximise the therapeutic effects of CBD oil.

4 – Consistency is Key

Positive results compound over time and taking CBD oil consistently helps maintain a sustained level of CBD in your system and promotes an effective endocannabinoid system. It’s important to take your CBD every day and not just when you think you need it.

5 – CBD Sources & Quality

Once you find your optimal CBD method and dosage, be aware that it may change if you switch products. Some manufacturers are less trustworthy than others, so different CBD sources may have different effects.

Hopefully, this article has been helpful to you in maximizing the effects of CBD for health and wellness.

Bear in mind that these are just recommendations and it’s important to consult doctors before trying out any CBD products.

Finally, do your own research and read product reviews to gain an idea of whether a certain brand delivers its promise. You can join our CBD users’ group on Facebook – hapihemp CBD Users UK and ask other customers.

Why topical CBD is great for your skin & body (no matter your age)

Why topical CBD is great for your skin & body (no matter your age)

Topical CBD products are part of a growing trend in skincare. CBD has taken the world of skincare and cosmetics by storm. Products like CBD massage oils and CBD roll-on are becoming the new go-to, for people who are looking for natural ingredients that work well in healing various health conditions. What many people don’t know is that CBD oil can work well on your skin, the same way CBD is useful when taken inside the body with CBD oral drops. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, responsible for protecting us from the outside world – with all its germs, toxins and other unmentionables! In this current climate, it’s no surprise that sales are soaring.

We often take our skin for granted until there is a problem. Then we normally work through endless products that promise a cure yet are filled with harsh chemicals, fragrances and preservatives. Right now, we are in a skincare revolution, where many of us are turning away from synthetic products that strip our skin of its natural oils and turning towards products that are natural, simple and gentle.

Women with CBD Topical Products

Topical CBD Oils for healthy skin

CBD topicals include balms, salves, lotions, and oils that are infused with active cannabinoids and are applied to and absorbed directly through your skin. But how do they work? Instead of ingesting the CBD orally, which can take up to two hours for your body to experience the full effects, topicals are applied directly to the skin, which allows the CBD to take effect more quickly. CBD is never absorbed into the bloodstream when using topicals. Its antioxidant properties have made it a popular ingredient to aid with skin and body health and because of the close relationship between CBD and Endocannabinoid system (ECS). Once you understand how our ECS works (And yes, we all have one!) it all starts to make sense of how CBD interacts with our body. You can read more on our FAQs page.

For those who may be somewhat reluctant to take CBD products orally, topical application can be a great way to explore the wonders of CBD-infused products and see how CBD can benefit them. hapihemp‘s CBD roller is a great starter – full of essential oils as well as CBD, its roll-on format makes it an easy-to-use topical CBD item, you simply roll on and go!

What Can CBD skincare products do for your skin and body?

The list of benefits provided by CBD oil is long and rigorous, and some of them may surprise you. CBD oil is one of the more accessible and easy-to-understand forms of this amazing plant and it’s not hard to see why people are turning to CBD skincare.

Here are just a few benefits CBD oil may provide for your skin:

Provides effective and long-lasting moisture:

Cold weather, dry indoor air, or the overuse of harsh soaps can cause your skin to lose moisture, leading to irritation and flakiness. The long-lasting moisturising effect that CBD oil can provide could be the remedy you’ve been looking for.

Plumps the skin:

CBD oil can also rejuvenate your ailing skin. It can smooth fine lines and wrinkles and plump tired skin, leaving you looking youthful and smooth.

Soothes the skin:

CBD oil can provide a calming remedy to soothe and relax your skin.

Balances oily skin:

CBD increases the body’s levels of cannabinoids, which has been shown to reduce levels of sebum. Because of this, CBD oil could be a great solution.

Works for all skin types:

Due to CBD’s antioxidant properties, it is a universally effective method of skincare. Antioxidants are important because of their ability to minimise the effect of “free radicals.”

CBD may act as a great vitamin D supplement since most of us don’t get enough from food or the sun and applying it topically can be an effective method of absorption. There are many benefits of vitamin D, including improving the immune system and strengthening bones.

hapi CBD lab reports

The importance of lab reports

The importance of lab reports

Why are lab reports needed?

Lab reports allow you to determine the CBD content and quality.

As you begin to explore the world of cannabidiol (CBD), you’ll quickly notice that top-rated brands provide lab verifications for their products. These lab reports – often referred to as certificates of analysis (COA) – are the key to knowing what is, or is not, in the important hemp extract that makes a CBD product special.

As a consumer, it’s very important that you read a lab test result, so you know exactly what you’re putting in or on your body! This article takes you through the general concepts of lab testing, to empower you to verify any product(s) you’re considering.

There is currently no quality or content control on CBD products sold in the general consumer market.

On top of this, CBD has exploded into the mainstream consciousness and the industry is growing extremely rapidly. This growth has seen hundreds if not thousands of new brands flood the market in the last few years.

This opportunity has unfortunately attracted poor quality players who are in it for a quick buck. Without industry standards in place, the quality of CBD products is all over the place.  As a consumer this means you need to be very careful when shopping around.

Luckily, industry-leading consumer brands like hapihemp have led the charge by pioneering transparency practices. Top companies are publicly displaying full company information and providing product contents via lab reports.

Lab reports empower consumers by providing the opportunity to discover exactly what is in each, and every, product they purchase.

This is obviously essential in today’s unregulated marketplace. There are a growing number of brands including this practice in their business and even today we encourage customers only to purchase from brands that provided lab reports for their products!

If you are hapihemp customer or prospective customer, know that we provide lab reports for every product we sell, and you can find them on our lab reports page.

Now that you understand why lab reports are so important, you’re ready to set out to find high-quality products.

5 CBD questions we are often asked

Is CBD legal in the UK?

In one word yes! This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions about CBD oil. The law requires that CBD products should only contain 0.2% THC or less.

Always purchase CBD from a reputable CBD company that has their lab reports transparent online. hapihemp has visible full lab reports for each of their CBD products. So, you can rest assured that all of our products meet this requirement.

What is the difference between THC free and Full spectrum CBD?

While both have an array of potential benefits, THC Free and full-spectrum CBD oil have a slightly different composition. As a result, you may prefer one over the other. Neither will get you high!

Both are powerful hemp extracts but here is the key difference:

Full Spectrum CBD oil allows you to experience the full entourage effect and contains trace amounts of THC (less than 0.2%) giving you the full benefit of the plant.

THC Free CBD oil allows you to experience the full entourage effect but contains zero THC. This is ideal for those who may have experienced THC sensitivity or who have to participate in work-related drug tests. Many hapihemp customers choose the THC free oil as they work in the forces, police or teaching.

What’s best – CBD oil or capsules?

One of the advantages of using CBD oil oral drops is their quick absorption into the body. Taking drops under the tongue (sublingually) ensures faster delivery of cannabinoids.

On the downside, many people do not like the taste of CBD oil, however, you now have the option of using one that has flavouring – hapihemps CBD oil comes in a mint flavour which is completely natural as well as their natural flavour.

Some people also suffer from gag reflex which can make taking oil under the tongue really difficult.

This is where capsules are popular as they are so easy to take and have no taste.

You can also buy CBD capsules that are blended with other beneficial oils. hapihemps CBD+ Capsules also contain – Ginger, Turmeric and Black pepper, which all have splendid benefits! The capsules are in a totally natural shell and are vegan friendly.

Capsules also travel easily, once you start your journey with CBD you won’t want to be without it!

Another alternative is CBD patches which are really growing in popularity due to the easiness of them!

Do CBD topicals work?

In one word yes…well we think so!

The largest organ of our body is our skin. It’s a living organism; it breathes and does an excellent job of protecting us against foreign bodies and infections. However, just as eating the right food satisfies our digestive system, the right creams, oils or lotions can work wonders.

CBD topicals can be absorbed through the skin for localised relief.

It’s about finding the right product for you that suits you and your lifestyle.

Essential oils can also be blended with CBD, as we all know essential oils have been really effective for health & wellness for hundreds of years, so imagine the power when mixed with CBD!

The ladies at hapihemp are particularly proud of their topical CBD range and have spent over a year working on blending different essential oils with CBD to create some wonderful holistic products.

Their hero product is the CBD+ roller, it’s the most potent topical product in the range and also has Turmeric, Arnica, Rose & Boswellia. It’s so versatile & is perfect for using on temples, forehead, neck, hands, knees & feet. It’s a firm handbag favourite for the ladies on a night out as its great before you slip on your heels & throughout the evening, also for the next day when you made need a little TLC on delicate areas!

Can CBD be mixed with food?

It can but it’s not just the case of dropping a few oral drops into your coffee!

There are some limitations when it comes to cooking with CBD, as CBD does not react well to extreme temperatures.

Some recent research has shown that mixing some CBD supplements with high-fat foods can increase the rate of absorption by up to 4 times.

hapihemps innovative CBD Superfood mix is a game changer and a great way to introduce CBD into your daily health routine.

It’s a blend of some powerful superfoods including cinnamon, turmeric, chicory, reishi mushroom & ashwagandha.

Perfect to mix with plant-based milk and drank warm or cold, this is a sure one to give you super-boost midday!!
